Sakura

Folded from five square sheets of kraft paper. This design is dedicated to Eugene Orihuel, my uncle’s father, who recently passed away after battling Coronavirus in Spain. This is the time of year when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, so I hope this design brings a little bit of happiness to Eugene’s wife, Evelyn, his son, Eric, and his friends and family who wish they could be together during these difficult times. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy as we do our part to slow the spread of this virus. I taught this model at the 2023 OrigamiUSA Convention.
